GameChange Solar Partners with Workrise in Free Solar Training Courses

GameChange Solar

NORWALK, CT – March 22, 2021 - GameChange Solar is excited to announce its partnership with Texas-based Workrise™ in supporting free, hands-on training for students interested in joining the growing renewable energy industry. Through people and technology, Workrise™ matches its workforce with companies who need them, making it easier to manage and deploy skilled workers at scale.

The free, two-day training course will be offered by Lone Star College with classes taking place both online and in-person. Students will learn the basics of installing utility-scale solar racking and modular equipment as well as earn OSHA 10 certification. As part of the curriculum, students will specifically learn GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker™ system, one of the fastest installing and highest power producing single-axis trackers in the market, affording numerous benefits to owners and installers including reduced labor costs.

Upon completion of the program, students will be equipped to work in the solar industry to construct, assemble, and maintain commercial solar systems. The weekly course has started and will continue throughout the spring. You can learn more about the course by visiting:

Ron Nickelson, Head of Solar and New Construction at Workrise™, stated: “Workrise is committed to helping people get back to work. Our partnership with GameChange Solar gives students the hands-on training they need to secure good jobs with low barriers of entry in the solar industry.”

Max Johnson, Director of Business Development at GameChange Solar, stated: “We’re excited to be a part of the Lone Star College solar installation course with Workrise™. The program will be very beneficial as the US continues to make the shift from oil/gas into renewables. Solar projects and construction continue to be on the rise, so it is important we have a skilled workforce ready. We are also excited for the increased familiarity of Genius Tracker’s main pre-assembled parts that bring down the installation time for major construction savings.”
