Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on, challenging and fast-paced position with bonus upside for highly exceptional performance. The candidate must be self-motivated, independent, and able to handle multiple priorities.

The Logistics Coordinator is directly responsible be working closely with customers, overseas offices, internal stakeholders and third parties to affect the timely and cost-effective delivery of each shipment. This role will work with the Logistics Manager to plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, cost, transit time and security of the cargo.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
  • Develop detailed plans for international shipments
  • Prepare loading plans
  • Complete paperwork / BOLs
  • Ensure delivery dates of shipments are met
  • Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Respond to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
  • Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Track and fix shipping errors
  • Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
  • Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (supply chain & logistics concentration is a plus)
  • 3+ years' experience in bulk marine operations and/or logistics management
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements

Senior Software Engineer Cloud Applications and Data Pipeline

The Senior Software Engineer will work to improve the monitoring interface and data acquisition pipeline for the Genius Tracker. Safety Manager

We are looking for an experienced Safety Manager to join our team. This is an exciting, challenging and fast-paced position with bonus upside for highly exceptional performance.

  • Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.

Hardware Engineer

Field Applications Engineer (Bilingual in Spanish)

The Field Applications Engineer will work to support our team of technicians and our customers to maintain our fleet of solar trackers. They will be responsible for keeping our fleet operating at 100% by monitoring for faults and working to dispatch the resources necessary to fix the faults. They will also be responsible for supporting commissioning of new projects – both remotely and on-site. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who has excellent project management, communication and troubleshooting skills and wants to dive into real, everyday solar engineering problems. Your work will directly result in existing systems working more efficiently and producing more energy. We offer a solid base with significant bonus upside.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
  • Provide project management and logistical support for ongoing site remediation & maintenance activities
  • Support Commissioning Technicians and O&M teams
  • Use data from the Genius Tracker system to monitor for faults in the system
  • Handle incoming RMA requests from customers and work with them to resolve faults
  • Work with production and logistics team to make sure materials arrive for repair work

Geotechnical Project Engineer

Logistics/Project Manager Utility Scale Solar Industry

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager / Project Manager in Solar to undertake all aspects of project management to join our team. This is a highly demanding, challenging and fast paced full time position based in Norwalk CT. The candidate must be self-motivated, independent, and able to handle high stress with multiple priorities. This position will report directly to the COO.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
  • Customer interface for all scheduling, deliveries, and issue resolution
  • Must be a customer service ambassador and able to engage with the client at all levels to immediately resolve any customer problems or complaints
  • Manage relationships and expectations through daily communication to the client
  • Main customer contact from project kick off through site commissioning and handoff
  • Customer Change Order processing and issue resolution
  • Liase regularly with internal groups: Finance, Production, Sales, Logistics, Field Service, Engineering
  • Coordination of customer onsite training, commissioning, and scheduling of GCS Field Technicians
  • Provide support to GCS Field Technicians; point of contact for all operations and engineering related questions
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, DOMESTIC (Over the road flatbed) transportation and customer services
  • Plan routes and process shipments to customer’s site, including packing lists and bills of lading
  • Liaise and negotiate with shipping carriers/trucking companies for preferential rates.
  • Keep track of quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Must be a customer service ambassador and be able to engage with the client at all levels and immediately resolve any client problems or complaints
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness target
  • Organize shipping details to customers and manage shipping requirements
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Utility/Commercial solar industry, preferably in project management or logistics
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Experience with contacting Truckers with Over the Road Flat Bed to Construction sites and Project Management experience.
  • Ability to negotiate with shipping carriers/trucking companies for preferential rates.
  • Phone experience working with shipping carriers/trucking companies, vendors, and customers
  • Experience with and understanding of construction contracts
  • Experience in managing logistics function and remote field operation teams
  • Proven working experience in logistics primarily in steel manufacturing, hardware or construction with over the road flatbed trucking. Must have extensive experience delivering to construction sites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Solar Actuator Technician

We are looking to hire a Field Technician, with mechanical and electronic experience. Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
  • Perform basic construction and commissioning related tasks on GCS PV systems.
  • Perform GCS system installation training and inspection for customers during various phases of installation
  • Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning for GCS Installations
  • Perform all reporting requirements per GCS protocol
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement Principles to improve business processes and reduce total cost
  • Work closely with installation teams to improve means and methods, install safety, installation documentation, quality, and velocity
  • Drive Quality efforts to assure all installed products meet customer requirements
  • Lead root cause analysis relating to late deliveries or product deficiencies

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Utility/Commercial Construction (Utility Solar experience preferred)

Solar Project Engineer

We are seeking civil and mechanical engineers to join our project engineering team. As a Project Engineer you will play a critical role in the expansion of the company’s product offerings. This will facilitate the installation of quality solar power plants in both domestic and international markets.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
  • Perform engineering analysis, including structural calculations for company products, in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Draft construction documents (plans, assembly drawings, shop drawings, and details) for ground mounted solar racking systems
  • Participate in internal and upstream supply chain QC operations including documentation peer reviews and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
  • Evaluate inbound documentation to identify potential hurdles to successful project completion
  • Maintain intimate familiarity with best design practices and new products used in industry through continuous review of manuals, improved design techniques, etc.
  • Interface with company staff, clients, and permitting officials.
  • Propose, design and validate new ways of reducing the total amount of structural material in racking systems to reduce the overall cost of the system without compromise to quality
Requirements:

  • Responsible for GCS Quality Plan and Quality Management System
  • Manage the entire Quality program for steel parts, tracker components, and internal processes.
  • Oversee vendor relationship as it relates to manufacturing, process and quality control, corrective action, continuous improvement, control plans, First Article Inspection and part production.
  • Maintain company quality records, report supplier performance and quality to management
  • Responsible for quality issues, RCCA, and client RFI’s.
  • Ensure all material certification requirements are in conformance for metal components
  • Assist Engineering Department with parts design as required.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement Principles to improve business processes and reduce total cost
  • Interface with customers and suppliers to achieve and exceed GCS, customer, and supplier expectations
  • Travel for supplier audit, supplier inspection, test site and construction site visits as required
Requirements:
  • Ability to manage and drive process and product improvements with suppliers
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plan
  • Strong Communication skills: Mastery of written and spoken English required.
  • Experience in Utility / Commercial solar construction strongly preferred
  • College degree in a technical field
  • Familiarity with construction practices and basic measuring tools
  • Experience in a steel fabrication environment, hot roll forming, cold roll forming, stamping, tube mill, aluminum extrusion, galvanizing
  • Experience with plastics and electronic assembly is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of quality management and manufacturing principles
