Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator Job Description:

The Logistics Coordinator is directly responsible be working closely with customers, overseas offices, internal stakeholders and third parties to affect the timely and cost-effective delivery of each shipment. This role will work with the Logistics Manager to plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, cost, transit time and security of the cargo.

Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed plans for international shipments
  • Prepare loading plans
  • Complete paperwork / BOLs
  • Ensure delivery dates of shipments are met
  • Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
  • Respond to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
  • Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Track and fix shipping errors
  • Ensure that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
  • Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
Logistics Coordinator Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (supply chain & logistics concentration is a plus)
  • 3+ years' experience in bulk marine operations and/or logistics management

We are looking for an experienced Director of Sales to join our Genius Balance of Systems (BOS) Division.

    Responsibilities:
    • All facets of outside sales of company’s distribution of small, medium and large power and mobile substation transformers products.
    • Responsible for cultivating and managing customers to generate a proper level of RFQs
    • Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with the Company’s Rules of Procedures
    • Travel as appropriate to potential customers
    • Insure that GeniusBOS remains in good standing with customers within the territory – be instrumental in resolving problems if any exist
    • Manage Sales Representatives & Distributors within the territory-providing assistance where needed

    We are searching for an Applications Engineer ability to play an integral role in the success of the business. The Applications Engineer will work to support the efficiency of the R&D team by facilitating the redesign of existing parts for immediate evaluation. In this role, the candidate will identify potential issues, develop solutions, and design new methods and systems to reduce materials and labor time for assemblies.

    Roles and responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
    • This position is both outdoor/indoor. You MUST be comfortable working in all-weather elements

    • Create mechanical diagrams, connection diagrams for solar structural systems, using CAD
    • Evaluate mechanical designs by using Finite Element Analysis and producing reports which include detailed results and analysis

    We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support all aspects of project management to join our team. Successful candidates will train and learn under our project management team and will considered for a Project Manager position 6 months to 1 year after hire.     Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
    Customer Service:

    Responsibilities:
    • Maintain constant communication with vendors, suppliers and customer to ensure the proper operations of the company in the region.

    Supplier Quality Representative

    This position is responsible for controlling the Quality of Game Change Solar’s products and its sub-assemblies, manufactured in the United States. The position is responsible for actively driving the quality control processes with suppliers and vendors of Game Change Solar.

    Responsibilities:
    • In this position, take the defined responsibility of Raw material, In-process, Out-going quality.
      a) Execution of Quality Plans
      b) Perform, attend or witness the quality inspections at supplier’s place as defined by quality manager
      c) Quality Resource control: Plan, monitor and get work done from TPI, measurement systems, equipment’s, tools and fixtures to execute quality plans.
      d) Drive process improvements and implement Quality tools.
    • Analyze quality issues, do root cause analysis and plan ICA, PCA and report it out (trouble shoot quality related issues and develop sustainable actions & ensure implementation)
    • Interact with suppliers, labs etc., directly on quality issues
    • Prepare and/or approve Quality documentations like FAI, PDI, MDCC – help for speedy quality clearances

    We are looking to hire a Metal Bender/Installer with experience working in Metallurgy, Physics, Strength of Materials and Fabrication experience. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of technical metal working skills, including but not limited to: Design, MIG welding, bending, tempering, precision cutting/manufacturing, roll forming, die punching, etc. This role provides a creative, design focused process in which the candidate may contribute to the improvement of design strength and longevity while minimizing manufacturing costs. This position will require a candidate who is well organized and highly attentive to detail. The scale of size for racking components ranges greatly, therefore precision is of the utmost importance. The qualified candidate must be able to produce components based off of detailed prints with a high level of accuracy. Additionally, the ideal candidate will review designs and provide technical expertise on manufacturing methods which may contribute to efficiency and reduction of cost.

    Solar Field Technician

    We are searching for a Solar Field Technician with a significant background in solar installation, framing or construction. The ideal candidate will be well versed in large scale utility solar installations to best support the advancements of the research and development team. This is a prime opportunity with the advantage of creative, hands-on work which allow the candidate to expand their technical skills and contribute to new product development.

    As GCS is a fast and steadily growing company, this position offers the ability to play an integral role in the success of the business. The candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the function of the research and development team, and their projects. This will include assisting in conducting testing on newly designed products, assembly and construction of testing rigs/customized solar racking solutions, and the monitoring of existing long-term testing for accuracy and performance.

    • Perform site training and inspection for customers during various phases of installation
    • Perform office training and certification for Installers seeking Certified Installer status
    • Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning for GCS Installations
    • Perform all reporting requirements per Installation Contract and internal GCS protocol
    • Utilize Continuous Improvement Principles to improve business processes and reduce total cost
    • Work closely with installation teams to improve means and methods, install safety, installation documentation, quality, and velocity
    • Initiate RFQ’s, award contracts, and oversee vendors providing geotechnical services and pull-test services
    • Drive Quality efforts to assure all installed products meet customer requirements
    • Lead root cause analysis relating to late deliveries or product deficiencies
    • Regular interface with customers and vendors relating to achieving and exceeding their expectations
    • Travel for key customer visits and construction site visits
    • Other related special projects and duties as assigned
    • Perform role of GCS Safety Lead, Quality Lead, and Productivity Lead for Turn-Key Installations and Site Work
    Required Experience & Skills:
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Utility/ Commercial solar construction
    • Experience in leading remote field operation teams and managing construction teams
    • Excellent leadership, problem solving, team development, and critical thinking skills
    • High level of integrity with strong emphasis on making and meeting commitments
    • High sense of urgency with the ability to delegate and prioritize to meet required deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Understanding of construction contracts and construction contract administration

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform engineering analysis, including structural calculations for company products, in accordance with applicable codes and standards
    • Draft construction documents (plans, assembly drawings, shop drawings, and details) for ground mounted solar racking systems
    • Participate in internal and upstream supply chain QC operations including documentation peer reviews and First Article Inspections (FAIs)
    • Evaluate inbound documentation to identify potential hurdles to successful project completion
    • Maintain intimate familiarity with best design practices and new products used in industry through continuous review of manuals, improved design techniques, etc.
    • Interface with company staff, clients, and permitting officials
    • Propose, design, and validate new ways of reducing the total amount of structural material in racking systems to reduce the overall cost of the system without compromise to quality
    • Support Sales Staff in performing preliminary project analysis, estimating material take-offs, and responding to technical questions
    Required Experience & Skills:
    • Bachelors in Engineering Civil or Mechanical Engineering or similar
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, reports
    • Ability to perform work independently and reliably according to work schedules and assignments
    • Capability for navigating, interpreting, and applying code requirements
    • Commanding proficiency in AutoCAD
    • Must be self-directed and resourceful, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with solar PV technology preferred but not required
