NORWALK, CT – June 16, 2022 – GameChange Solar’s mission - “Repowering the Planet with Affordable Solar Energy”- received a big boost yesterday from the Biden Administration’s decision to eliminate tariffs on Southeast Asian solar panels for 24 months. While GameChange applauds the objective to re-create a solar panel industry in the USA, increasing tariffs is not the answer.
Andrew Worden, Founder and CEO of GameChange Solar, stated, “The Biden Administration’s decision not to impose additional tariffs on imported modules helps the President achieve his objective to transform the US electrical production infrastructure to renewable, green sources of energy - a mission we fully endorse. We expect this executive order, once the Commerce Department publishes the supporting regulations, will give the confidence back to our customers that they can progress with their plans for 2023 and 2024.”
GameChange expects this action should ensure the stability and growth of jobs in the renewables sector for many years to come.
